The classic Margrethe bowl is now available in two new sizes: 0,5 l and 0,75 l. Perfect for serving snacks! Each size comes in ten different colors. Count Sigvard Bernadotte (1907-2002) designed the Margrethe bowl in 1950, and it is produced by Rosti Mepal, F&H of Scandinavia.

Libri shelf

Michaël Bihain has designed the freestanding Libri shelf, which has been nominated for the Swedish Design Award. Bihain studied interior design in France and England, and now teaches furniture conception at the St Luc Institute in Liége, France. Libri is produced by Swedese.

I think the design is beautiful - simple yet elegant!

Plates become jewelry

Cecilia Klaesson at Kila Design makes jewelry out of old cups and plates with eye-catching patterns. A great way to recycle things that would otherwise perhaps have been thrown away! The bracelet below features the Berså pattern, created by Stig Lindberg.

Flowers

I planted some flowers in flower pots outside today. I got really cheap terracotta pots, Rönnbär, from IKEA, and now they’re filled with lavender, marguerites and geraniums.

Barbro Wesslander has designed this beautiful glassware for BodaNova: perfect for summer lunch on the deck! This is a great complement to the Joy series by the same designer.

Illustrations by Camilla Engman

Swedish artist and illustrator Camilla Engman is selling a set of four cute prints for $45 in her web shop. The print below is called “Spring”. I predict that they will soon be sold out!
